Decorative paper can be divided according to different classification standards, mainly including the following types:

Classification by use:

Polar paper: Thin paper with wood grain printed on the paper surface, used for MDF, HDF, and plywood veneer, adhesive is required for veneer, and coating is required after veneer.

Gorgeous paper: Thin paper with printed and coated paper surface, used for MDF, HDF, and plywood veneer, adhesive is required for veneer, and generally no coating is required after veneer.

Pre-painted paper: Wood grain is printed on the paper surface, and a small amount of resin has been impregnated or coated, with a resin content of 20% to 60%. Low quantitative paper is used for MDF veneer, and high quantitative paper is used for edge banding. Generally, no coating is required after veneer, and the wear resistance is higher than that of gorgeous paper.
‌Low-pressure melamine impregnated paper‌: The paper surface is printed with wood grain and impregnated with low-pressure melamine resin. The resin content is 130% to 150%. It is used for particleboard and MDF veneer. No glue is required during veneer, and no finishing is required after veneer. The wear resistance is higher than that of pre-painted paper.
‌High-pressure melamine impregnated paper‌: The paper surface is printed with wood grain and impregnated with high-pressure melamine resin. The resin content is 60% to 100%. It is used to make decorative laminates (fireproof boards). The wear resistance depends on the surface paper‌.
‌Classification by material‌:

‌Organic decorative paper‌: It is composed of blue, red, green, yellow and other color transparency pigments. It is suitable for colorful decorative paper. Adding titanium dioxide can prevent color fading‌.
‌Inorganic decorative paper‌: It is composed of titanium dioxide, iron red, iron yellow, iron black or carbon black‌. ‌Classification by surface effect‌:
